But there is no getting around the fan is very small and to move air it must work much harder than a bigger diameter fan. For this reason it causes noise. I am using it behind a tv to cool a roku box. There is USB power behind the tv so it is a natural choice. The noise isn't much but in a quiet room late in the evening you will notice the fan noise but it is unlikely to bother you. I have left it on (It turns off with the tv) and the Roku never gets hot (Two old ones did and failed hence the fan.) So if you have a USB port and need to cool a poorly designed device such as a modem, Wifi router, or a TV device then this is a good candidate because of the power source and the size.
