Pretty important info.** A: If you haven’t been doing machining and your new to running a lathe then you should experiment with speeds because as a machinist over the years you figure out what works and you would have a mental reference of what speeds work. So whatever your working on will require different speeds and weather or not you’ll need coolant or not. **Q: do these holders take proprietary inserts or can other brands of inserts be used?** A: I have used other inserts and they fit... **Q: can these be use for aluminum? Maybe with different inserts?
