I was not sure about these due to some negative reviews, but they are just fine. I conducted a test of the two batteries which I will list the results below. One of the issues folks seem to have his seating the battery in the charger. This can be slightly challenging. The charger itself is a universal charger. I have one just like it for my Canon D70 and batteries. The only difference is the sleeve that adapts the charger to fit these particular batteries. The adapter sleeve can come loose when removing the batteries, but it snaps back in place just as the batteries snap in when charging. Otherwise, this set works flawlessly and as advertised.Tested using a Sony HDR-CX230 HD HandyCam. I charged both batteries to full capacity and then set the camera to record and let it continue recording until the battery fully died. I did not stop the recording, the dead battery stopped recording. The batteries seem to work fine, although I have not tested them to see how long they last. They do not fit into the provided charger very well but they do go in, and they charge. They charge inside the camera just fine. The little European power adapter is a piece of plastic junk. But the biggest thrill of all was getting a microfiber lens-cleaning cloth with my purchase. I didn't even know I was going to get a microfiber cloth! That made my whole day. Imagine the thrill of opening up a box that's supposed to contain a couple of batteries and getting your very own microfiber cleaning cloth.

just what i ordered, no issues

I purchased a sony CX220 camcorder from Amazon and wanted a backup battery. I found this item on the site and it had good reviews. We have used both batteries to tape volleyball games and they have worked great. They actually last longer than the one that came with the camera. The charger is a little flimsy but works great. It is a little hard to seat the batteries in the charger but after you get the hang of it you will have no problem. I would recommend this to others.

The entire package was great. 2 Batteries & a charger that you can use for house charging or vehicle charging. Either way, its a win win.Batteries are, as most people have said on here, a bit tricky to work with but i'm going to blame the design on the designers of Sony, not the manufactures of the battery itself or the products that have to design around it. Either way, I'm happy with the end result. Everything works fine.Cant wait to go out and shoot some films with actual decent time without having to worry about my camera dying.

At my local Best Buy, the charger was $41, and the battery was $50. So on a cost comparison, this was the obvious choice. I read a review that said the batteries are difficult to insert into the charger. I agree it's not as smooth as the Sony charger, but it charges the batteries and has the added convenience of working in the car (which I haven't needed yet).The delivery was on time as well. That was crucial for me since I needed multiple batteries for an event the evening they were delivered.
