The ear pads came in perfect condition and have a firmness to it as shown in the pictures. It even came with a faux leather headband that is firm and comfortable as well. This fabric traps in sound better than the original ear pads and adds bass and sound isolation. Amazing product, I love it. Review: comfy, for people who want the arctis headset ear pad material - they are very comfy, same material used in the steel series arctics line. this is exactly what I was looking for and was not disappointed . ps. they do change the sound a little bit with a bit more bass ( unless I forgit to apply my new eq) and you can't cradle the headset on the base with them on. The ear pads may be comfy and slot right in no problem, but the material and design makes it so the audio is significantly worse. The entire point of these headphones is for great audio and these pads make it so that the audio becomes awful. Not to mention every movement the headphones make on your head is amplified by the material.
