I ordered their stereo head unit, and before it could ship I emailed them and told them I purchased the PLZ 901-3 and sent them a copy of my order BEFORE my stereo arrived. Within a minute I got a canned email saying our time zones really differ so please be patient for a response. Well a few hours later I got an email saying welcome and telling me to send what I wanted on the splash screen. I did this and the next day they sent me firmware update and specific instructions on how to install it. VERY specific instructions were given. I told them the stereo isn't here yet and I will let them know. Stereo showed up a day later and I did what they ask. Check to make sure it works BEFORE you install it. Mine did just as it was suppose to. The following day I got an email from them basically asking how its going did you do the upgrade yet. I responded no as my jump drive wouldn't be here for another day or two. The next day I got the jump drive followed their directions and it upgraded no problem and there was my Chevy splash screen on boot up. I contacted them and told them everything went fine. They were great to deal with but remember we are in different time zones, so it takes time to respond. As for the stereo. Its quite nice to use. The buttons are a touch sensitive at first, you just need a lighter touch. First thing I did is I have no radio reception where I live so I setup Bluetooth with my phone and it synced immediately, matter in fact as soon as I start the vehicle stereo comes on and syncs no problem. I turned on Sirius XM radio and streamed it to the radio. The equalizer has lots of adjustments. There are like 4 or 5 set fields and then you can make a custom one which I did. Loudness is garbage on this radio. Its like you crank 250-400hz like up to 12db and its just mud for sound. I tried changing my phone settings turn off Dolby ATMOS and it did nothing with loudness. I was able to get some very nice sound from it once I had my settings. Its made my JBL concerts and club 6.5s sound really good. They sound was rich all the way down to 48hz with solid mids and even flat and crisp highs with very little adjustment. There is also controls on the EQ screen for fader and balance. You can use the slide on the side for fader and balance or you can use your finger and slide exactly where you want your fader and balance to be. You can also on the right side select driver, co driver left rear right rear. This is a great way to see if your speakers are in phase to. Next is a sub box but it will be added later to this review. I got it all wired for the reverse camera as well, which will be installed later. The display gives you color options or it can just flash the colors in sequence. It also has a brightness adjustment and contrast to. The settings menu is the heart of the radio. You can adjust nearly everything on it and its easy to do. Just don't do it while your driving. The radio interface has 18 presets FM to choose from and 6 AM. It has a stereo and mono selector as well as LOC/DX if the stations are hard to get. Speaking of the menu buttons are large and easy to select as well. For the money you cant beat this deal. I mean a sub 90.00 stereo with all these features, you will not find anything this nice in that price range. PROS: extremely affordable Easy to control menus 16 band EQ with so many adjustments. Multiple presets for the radio including manual and scan features. AMS presets. It can scan and get all the most powerful stations for you, but you need to be careful AMS will wipe out all your presets. Easy to see display. with multiple colors Bluetooth easy to setup and syncs right away. Sub-woofer control Front cam Rear cam SWC for most steering wheel controls. Easy to use remote with a battery to. Excellent customer service as I have listed THEY SHIP FAST to CONS: Loudness sucks. Don't use it Controls are touchy. You need a light touch. The radio with its trim piece is a pain. I spent an hour grinding and finessing it to fit with the car kit Wires are really thin so some wire strippers have issues with it. There no other menu configurations like different button looks that would match your vehicle. The radio tuner could be better. Its not bad but its not a super tuner III by no means. All in all its a great radio and as I use it I will update this review if things change. Don't believe anyone who tells you their customer service sucks, because they have been great. It only took me two years to write a review because after I purchased it I was sent to various state for work so I honestly didn't know about it till this year. You can still hear the sound but the screen completely blacks out during super hot or humid days. The only time I was able to visibly see the screen at all if it's cold or raining. So if it blacks out, you better hope it connects to your phone right away other wise it goes to the radio and if you're not on a good radio station, it'll be staticky and sucks.
