It has proved to be great for helping her differentiate between upper-case and lower-case and at 3 and a half years old, she can now write all of her letters (both upper and lower-case) very legibly. I am now awaiting the arrival of the Grade K book, and know it will be helpful in her journey of learning and loving to read! I bought this Spell & Write PreK for my 4 year old and it's just enough letter sound practice without being overwhelming. Not much writing skills required (which is great because many children this age have the letter recognition but not the fine-motor skills to do a lot of letter writing.) There are a few pages of practice for each letter, complete with a little "test" at the end of each letter (which my daughter has enjoyed taking.)
