Review: Exact OEM Replacement, Everything is there - So I have a 2004 Ford Expedition XLT with 160,000+ Miles and felt it a good time to do a Transmission Filter change before I go on a roadtrip and seeing as it had never been done on my vehicle. I just have to say the new one shipped fast, and came exactly the same as the old filter and fit just as perfect. The gasket seal that pushes into the transmission comes attached and ready to install. On these Ford Transmissions the Transmission Pan gasket is a reusable one and therefore you just needed the filter (Check with your specific vehicle on this though first!). I’ve never dropped the pan but it was fairly easy and then getting the Ford OEM Mercon V off desertcart made refilling to factory spec easy on me and my piece of mind. Transmission shifts way smoother and rides smoother than it did before, can’t wait to put some miles on before the trip and check for leaks, although as of now I have seen none at all!
