It had always been a little tricky to get it to catch when pushing it to close. Last week, it came out completely, and despite my efforts, getting it reseated properly each time was very difficult. When I ordered this new drain stopper, it was so inexpensive that I figured there was a good chance it would not work. Boy, was that assumption wrong! I had already cleaned everything possible after the old one came out, and the installation of the new one could not have been easier. It literally took less than a minute. The open and close function is a huge improvement over my old one as you only push down in the center of this one for either action. No finagling to get the stopper to catch like my old one! After it was installed, I closed the drain, covered the bottom of the tub with water, and left the room. I still thought I might return to find that some or all of the water had leaked out. When I returned to check an hour later, I was ecstatic to find no leakage. The stopper had held firm. I pressed the top to open the drain and the water drained more quickly than when my old stopper (which had a longer core) was in place—another plus for the replacement! I am beyond elated that I was able to correct my issue for under $15, and that the piece looks and functions even better than the original bathtub drain! (I’ve included a pic of the installed drain, simple one-page instructions which shows removal and installation steps of the piece on multiple types of drains, and the two different rubber washers which are included). Review: This is a great little item!!!! - This little item is perfect!! This was so easy and dropped right into my drain. It holds water, it looks beautiful. And I really needed something like this that fit and works with no stress. ## Features - UGRADED TUB DRAIN STOPPER AND COVER: New design for easy installation and removing, so that you can clearing the hair and tangled messes easily - COMPATIBILITY: Artiwell Universal Tough-Toe Bath Drain Stopper and Cover have been tested by the plumber, which can be replaced 99% lift and turn, Tip Toe and trip lever Bathtub drains, Includes 2 types of o-rings for you to choose from to fit your existing 1-3/8” or 1-1/2” tub drains, fits inner diameter of the drains opening that from 1-15/32 inch to 1-23/32 inch, please kindly measure the the inner diameter of your drains opening before buy - EASY INSTALLATION: Installation easily without removing the old drain, so install Artiwell Universal Lift and Turn Bath Drain Stopper and Cover, you need’t professional plumber tools , plumber putty or plumber provide the support , you can save some costs.
