Review: Bridged - I bought 2 on sale and bridged them. Paired them with the 10d 2022 using XLR. Music is streamed via USB. This is arguably the cheapest way to start my "budget-fi" journey. They are quite good sounding on my R3. Base is fast and clean. No hissing, huming of any sort. The 10d 2022 DAC is good too, very quiet. Overall, very happy with the amps. Nice fit and finish and just enough power to play loud if you choose to. Otherwise, I have them set at 12:00 o'clock and let the DAC control the volumn (usually at around 50, half way point as well), quite loud already and yield around 75 to 80 dB sitting 7 feet away from the speakers. I also used them on my ELAC UB5 and these amps made them sound more "alive". I wouldn't buy just one 10a though. Buy a pair and bridge them. If you want to just buy one, get the 20A.
Review: Do not buy - is the "bad" version - SMSL and Sabaj 2 brands from the same larger company; they are the only brands using this amplifier chipset: I was excited to have found this product and ordered two to run as monoblocks... According to Google: in 2022 the Sabaj a20a stopped being sold; it was returned to the market with a redesign that included a totally new power supply. I've seen no data that the revised version wasn't also sold in 2022, and A customer would have no way of knowing, because they look exactly the same and have the exact same specifications. It seems this seller is using the term "2022 Version" to indicate that you will receive the model that stopped being sold due to multiple significant issues. Of course you have no way of knowing this... What I received were 2 amplifiers that are unusable and seem likely to cause damage to my other components. The amps have high levels of hiss/hum that, according to analysis from multiple different AI agents, is attributed to the unshielded internal PSU (the one that was replaced). This occurs even with no inputs connected, with no other devices connected to the AC circuit, and at zero volume - so the noise is absolutely coming from within the amp itself. And not in some "normal" way, this is a problem. The amp will make sounds like "crack" while adjusting the volume - or just randomly. I'm unsure what that is attributed to - but it is a common characteristic according to forum posts. In the limited amount of time I spent actually trying to listen to this amp (before I became concerned for my speakers and other equipment) I experienced it "shut off" multiple times - just in the opening minutes of "Godzilla vs Kong." It wasn't hot... it just kept shutting down during loud sequences in the opening montage. Worst of all: the amp causes an insane ground loop with other equipment - whether on the same AC circuit, or just connected via RCA cables. I have a LOUD hum/hiss coming out of speakers THAT AREN'T EVEN CONNECTED TO THE AMP! I have never seen anything like this with home audio equipment, and I don't believe it is a simple "ground loop" issue. This amp doesn't connect its the safety ground to the chassis and then to the RCA terminal ground with a $.01 transistor - it connects the ground line from the power cord directly to the amplifier's daughter board. With no connection to the chassis! So, if the power supply (the one that caused sales to be halted and was replaced) has an issue and arcs to the metal box that you, your kids, or your pets may touch - that electricity would need to travel all throughout the chassis, somehow make its way up to the amplifier daughter board, then somehow make its way through the traces all the way back to the lug that connects to the ground wire - and then out of the unit and into your AC circuit. I'm sure this somehow, technically, meets some code; but it is a higher resistance path than chassis-to-ground, it is not how you or I would design something, and - combined with the fact that this power supply needed to be replaced - it's not something I want in my home. I have spent so much time looking into all of these issues, genuinely trying to get this product to perform. Then I come to find out that these issues are well-known, and that the product had a SIGNIFICANT internal redesign to try and resolve the exact issues I'm having. Well, I feel like I been scammed - like someone is trying to clear out their leftover inventory of the "problem" units. None of this background would matter to me if the product performed - but it doesn't. I wouldn't recommend buying this unless 1. You are looking for a project; 2. The price drops so far that it's cheaper than buying a new *proven* all-in-one board.

I bought 2 on sale and bridged them. Paired them with the 10d 2022 using XLR. Music is streamed via USB. This is arguably the cheapest way to start my "budget-fi" journey. They are quite good sounding on my R3. Base is fast and clean. No hissing, huming of any sort. The 10d 2022 DAC is good too, very quiet. Overall, very happy with the amps. Nice fit and finish and just enough power to play loud if you choose to. Otherwise, I have them set at 12:00 o'clock and let the DAC control the volumn (usually at around 50, half way point as well), quite loud already and yield around 75 to 80 dB sitting 7 feet away from the speakers. I also used them on my ELAC UB5 and these amps made them sound more "alive". I wouldn't buy just one 10a though. Buy a pair and bridge them. If you want to just buy one, get the 20A.

SMSL and Sabaj 2 brands from the same larger company; they are the only brands using this amplifier chipset: I was excited to have found this product and ordered two to run as monoblocks... The people that say anything negative about this amp are crazy. This is 5 stars all day long. There amps have some of the best components and are very well put together. The ones that have the ice are even better. They should charge 30 x what there charging . These are beast in the true form
