It made cleanup and hosting so much easier! These containers were affordable, functional, and made our event even smoother. Review: A Practical Choice for Home Cooks and Meal Preppers - I’m sharing my experience with clamshell takeout food containers, hoping it helps fellow home cooks and meal preppers decide if they’re right for you. In our household of two, I do all the cooking since my wife is disabled. Often, it’s a challenge to scale down recipes, so I end up with leftovers. These clamshell containers have become my go-to for storing extra portions—typically two servings at a time—which I freeze for easy future meals. If you’re planning to use these containers for liquid-heavy foods like soups or dishes with a lot of sauce, keep in mind that they’re not leak-proof. The sides don’t seal tightly, so if the container tips or is overfilled, liquids can escape. However, for solid foods such as casseroles, pasta bakes, or Shepherd’s Pie, they work wonderfully. I’ve had no trouble with the snap tabs on each side—they close securely for my needs and keep the contents fresh. One of the things I appreciate most is their convenience: these containers are microwave safe and hold up well in the dishwasher, making cleanup and reheating simple. I usually let leftovers cool before packaging them, which helps with portioning—especially for dishes like Shepherd’s Pie, where the potatoes and sauce set up overnight and are easier to slice. Compared to traditional plastic containers with snap-on lids, I find these clamshells easier to use and more reliable for my meal prep routine. While not perfect for transporting liquids, they’re excellent for everyday storage and reheating of solid foods. I confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a practical, hassle-free solution for meal prepping and storing home-cooked leftovers. ## Features - Premium Quality Clam shell 3 compartments container: Our large clamshell serving trays have 3 separate compartment to prevent cross-contact with your main and sides.
