It is non-slip and double sided but the meat spikes could be slightly bigger. Cleans easily and really well without the need to put in the dishwasher. Would have liked it a little bigger for family roasts but perfectly big enough for two.. I found it useful to place kitchen roll down the groove to soak up excessive chicken juices/fat to avoid juices running all over the counter top whilst standing.
