Fit with some wiggle room and enough to slide it without using the zipper. Walking around felt great with normal socks but I could use thick socks if I wanted. The quality is great realism look the faux fur is fluffy enough. Can fit bigger calf muscles. While also not sliding down if yours are smaller build. The fur gaps at the top showing the black boot and zipper beneath. I will have to get some faux fur from a fabric store and fasten it under the cuff to conceal the zipper. When I say that these boots are wide in the calf, I mean they are wide! The zipper is not even needed to get them on. Since I am seated for most of the photos, so they shouldn't flop around too much, but I do not think they would work for a walking or active travelling Santa unless you have enormous calves. If they prove to be too loose because the extra wide calf, I suppose I could stuff some red material in to take up the space. These were bought as a substitute for my regular boots which are stuck in a moving van until after Christmas. My new house will not ready until then.
