By arranging the constellations by season and also in order of difficulty of identifying, the author has made it very easy for a novice to improve his/her skills. The small size makes it convenient to take out in the field. For those wanted more scientific information, they could easily combine this book with the DK book The Practical Astronomer by Will Gater and Anton Vamplew which would probably give the average person all the technical astronomy knowledge they want. There is also a lot of additional supplementary information in the back which makes the book that much more valuable. I wish I had had this book when I first started learning constellations. It would have made the job much simpler.
