Over the last year and a half I have bought three more, and ALL of them have had the ball bearing and it's white plastic gasket justs falls out while I'm holding it 3 months to a year within purchasing them. Used to be good .. now are junk **Q: Is it made in the usa** A: No, not entirely. The Machined brass body, and all internal components are Made in USA while the externals -- the lock nut, the screw, and the forged brass handle -- are made in China. The back of the item package labeling says "Assembled in USA of US & foreign components". **Q: Exactly how much does the handle extend beyond main part of the valve? I have an application that is not on a hose where clearance matters.** A: 7/8". The valve body is machined from a hexagon bar, 1.25" across the flats. **Q: Can the shut off lever be turned 180 degrees so the on position is on the male side? Thanks John** A: It looks like it can be turned 180. The end of the threaded shaft that is visable has two flats. However, the body is a 1-1/4 in. hex. So a female hose connection greater than 1-1/4 in. dia. would interfere with the lever and not allow full turn on.
