**Q: Can I use this for natural stone slates that are 1.5 to 2 inches thick?**
A: I am sure it will work well. These work very well. As easy as drilling into wood.

**Q: Can I drill a shallow depth hole for an anchor, or do I have to drill all the way through the ceramic?**
A: You can stop drilling whenever. If you want to drill all the way through, you can, or you can just create a shallow hole. It takes a while to drill all the way through ceramic, so you have lots of control on how deep you go.

**Q: Can I use these bits in a drill press?**
A: Yes

I was a bit skeptical about it working dry (because of the wax center) but it cleanly drilled 6 holes in porcelain tile for a shower grab rail with amazing speed and ease. My only regret is that I bought 6, and needed only one, so now I have several I may never use!
