I will be using this as a sewing table and it has more-than-adequate room for my machine and work surface and a handy drawer for supplies. It is a lovely piece of furniture and at such a good price for a comparable piece anywhere else. Review: Sewing room table - I bought this table for a small room I use for my sewing. The room already held 1 large bookcase, 2 antique dressers, 1 sewing machine table, 2 chairs and 1 pole lamp. Because the room was already pretty full, the fact that this table could fold down into something smaller when not in use was a real plus. Until I found this table, I was considering a similar table at Ikea for a roughly comparable price, but it had a laminate finish. This table is solid wood. Reviewers of the Ikea table complained about the level of difficulty and the amount of screws needed to assemble it. Not so with this table. My husband assembled it and said it was pretty easy to put together. He did note, however, that it was missing several screw holes. Also, the bottom shelf of the drawer is some sort of heavy duty cardboard. The table is very level, no wobbling at all. Overall, it is a very attractive, well built table and I am very pleased with my desertcart purchase. I would definitely buy it again.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what is tabletop measurement when leaf is not in use.  It is the 'short' side meassurement i really need**
A: Top dimensions when left is down 41.73”W x 15.26”D.

**Q: can you put two stools or two chairs under it when the leaf is down.**
A: No there isn't enough room between the front legs

**Q: how hard is it to assemble?**
A: The instructions were clear and assembly was fairly easy and straightforward.

**Q: Someone answered that the table can only sit 2 persons, but another person answered that 4-6 persons can sit. Other comments?**
A: Four people can sit around the table.  I have managed five but it's a bit crowded.  Chairs sit on each end and on each side so four can fit comfortably with room for food in the middle.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sewing room table

I bought this table for a small room I use for my sewing. The room already held 1 large bookcase, 2 antique dressers, 1 sewing machine table, 2 chairs and 1 pole lamp. Because the room was already pretty full, the fact that this table could fold down into something smaller when not in use was a real plus. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ solid environmentally produced wood in a flimsy plastic world

What to expect; the box is big and heavy. It takes two to easily put together. Getting it out of the box is hard to do because it is the best packaged item I've ever bought. The directions are basically well done line drawings but you have to look carefully at the pictures to determine what is front and what is rear. Before you start, make sure you make sure all parts are there and there are enough of them. There is a parts number to call if you need more. But all our parts were in small plastic packages, all the right number and all high quality- not the screws that break as you're screwing them in. The top of solid wood is heavy. With two people though we got it together with only a couple of minor problems. In the end you have a really solid little table. I wanted it as a sewing table that I could stuff back in the corner when I don't need it. It is made from fine grained and very solid Thailand para wood and finished in a walnut stain. The Para tree is the latex (rubber) producing tree. After 30 years of so when it ends producing latex they used to cut them down and burn them. Now they have begun to turn them into high quality furniture. When closed it is small and innocuous but is a heavy duty little dynamo capable of sewing on or whatever. If you need more room you pull the sides backward until they hit a stopper. It has a diagram of how much weight can be put on each part and it's substantial. As far as a sewing machine table , it's perfect, and just the right height and lots of legroom. It was worth the effort and I would buy another one if I needed it but I will be giving my delivery people a break. I love that it's made from a resource that once would have been burned. The only problem I have with it is I'm not partial to dark walnut stain and would like a choice in stains but even though I am very happy with this little Thai table.
