It has a beautiful color, and lends both extreme heat and smokiness to dishes. This is definitely a hot sauce to approach with responsibility and caution. I have a very high tolerance for heat, and started with an approximately pea-sized dab on a mini potato. I wasn't suffering much, but even such a small amount left my mouth tingling for ten minutes. It would be easy even for an experienced heat-seeker to overdo this and have regrets. I love the bottle design, and $18 seems reasonable considering this will certainly last me a long time.
