I finished installing the mount and projector yesterday, and it definitely exceeds expectations. Despite the seller's somewhat silly claim that this projector will only work with UST projectors, this mount functions great with long-throw projectors as well. Installation was relatively simple, though I did opt to use additional mounting parts not included in the kit, as the mount and projector I installed are fairly hefty (10.5 lbs for the mount and 24.5 lbs for the Epson 5040ub). I attached two screws included with the mounting kit into one of my studs. I then used six 1/4" Toggler Snaptoggle bolts (and a few extra washers I bought) to anchor the outer holes. Four of the bolts align the top, spread across 16" wide, and 2 more anchoring the bottom corners. Installed, this mount feels quite sturdy. The mounting bracket is universal and had absolutely no problems being adjusted to reach any of the mounting holes on my Epson 5040ub. There were a lot of additional screws/accessories included to mount to other projectors, but those weren't necessary in my case. Either way, it should work with pretty much any projector. The adjustment knobs are sturdy and provide a decent amount of adjustability. I did not extend the mount at all, so I left it at the minimum 12.8" from the wall. But I'm guessing even if I did extend it, it would still feel quite strong being made of pretty good aluminum. If I had to complain, this mount has some good options for hiding the cables going to your projector, but they require feeding your wires through the wall. This is because it's meant to be a UST mount, but it'd be nice if the plastic cover had holes on either the top or bottom that would allow you to thread cables out of it without going through the wall. I'll probably cut some of the plastic off my cover so I can route my cables more attractively eventually. Regardless, the tl;dr is that this mount seems to be a pretty solid purchase for both UST and Long-Throw projectors. Installation is relatively simple, but you may want to buy additional wall mounting hardware from what's included in the kit. Study and adjustable, this mount definitely hit the points I wanted it to. It's substantially more costly than the generic Chinese rebranded wall mounts that plague desertcart, but half the price of the big-name BenQ, Epson, etc. mounts. And its quality is definitely closer to the latter than the former. Worth the investment, especially because it's an attractive solution. Review: Great, solid mount - I mounted an LS11000 which is a 30lb projector. I think this would hold a lot more. I looked at the $200-$300 mounts, and I saw no need. This is very sturdy as long as you’re mounting in a stud. It’s sold as a unit to suspend from the bottom, but I chose a top mount without issue. Actually gives me peace of mind this way. I wanted the projector at the back of the room. I have ceiling fans, so wanted it at a certain height. In the first week,or two, I had to adjust it up 1/2” (as it settles in) but has been rock solid ever since. I do like the horizontal and vertical adjustment knobs! Get it as close as possible to perfect before using zoom or lens shift. I am using ZERO keystone because I pre measured, centered to screen and place a large 2”x10” backer board bolted with lag bolts to studs in three places. Incredibly happy with this mount. It’s heavy and not cheap. The mount is universal and, obviously, if you just mount the projector on "backwards" from what is stated in the instructions it works fine as a long-throw wall mount. **Q: Will this mount work with promethean ultra short projector?** A: I have it on a BenQ it is works fine this is an awesome mount with dial adjustments. It has 4 arms that slide and adjust to the hole pattern. Mine only had 3 holes but got it to work. It is a breeze to mount after you get the arms on the projector. Solid as a rock once mounted. Mount the hanger to the projector first then mount the arm to the ceiling or wall then put the projector on the arm and your done. All the wires are hidden in the arm. Best one I have ever seen and i buy these for work. **Q: I need to set this up between two studs 16'' apart. Will this work?** A: It will fit between two studs 16" apart, but it will not bridge the two studs. You will not be able to attach to the structural studs. Unless you have a strong wall surface, or structure behind sheet rock (like plywood), you would want to use blocking behind the sheet rock where the mount attaches. Do not fasten to sheet rock alone. The mount extends from the wall (telescopes) & exerts a great deal of leverage pressure (load) on the wall once a projector is attached to the mount. Don’t let price fool you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Relatively complex install, but a very solid mount *by M***Z on May 10, 2024* This is holding a BenQ projector that may be smaller than what this mount is intended for. Figuring out how to attach the projector to the mount was not straightforward. The BenQ is probably more to blame for this than the mount itself, though. The cable management system for this is a bit odd, and includes a set of covers that are pretty impractical. I ended up just leaving them off. My main motivation for getting this was the promise of easy and precise adjustability which is achieved primarily through three knobs. These adjust pitch, roll, and yaw well, and it is also possible to slide the projector horizontally to make sure it is properly centered on the screen. I still could not get my image to perfectly align with my screen, which has left me wondering if there's a flaw in my projector or my screen or both, or alternatively whether I just can't find the right combination of adjustments on the mount. One additional note is that even fully retracted, this extends relatively far from the wall. The back of my projector is about eight inches from the wall. This is probably good if you have a large projector but it's a bit too much for my needs. Overall, I'm happy with this.
