## Description

The HemogloBind Trial Kit includes two versions of HemogloBind: suspension and dry powder. HemogloBind comes from a class of solid-phase elastomeric poly-electrolytes that bind proteins through an empirically derived chemistry combining elements of polymer composition, cross-linking architecture and charge properties. HemogloBind is engineered for a high degree of selectivity and does not cross react with most common serum components, making it an excellent depletion method in numerous applications. These include analytical protocols where optical interference is problematic, such as bilirubin analysis and bulk hemolyzed serum clarification. For purification and/or analysis of hemoglobin, a modest elevation in pH will facilitate desorption of hemoglobin bound to HemogloBind. NuGel-Hemoglobind is engineered for increased versatility using the HemogloBind polymer technology, but supplied as a dry powder. It is based on NuGel silica (50 microns in size, 1000A) covalently bound to elastomeric polyelectrolytes. One NuGel-HemogloBind prep binds 95+% of hemoglobin from 20 µl whole blood prep, or 200 µl hemolyzed serum. Linearly scaleable up or down. Easy format for high-throughput and automation.
