A: The fixture with bulb is 12" long.

**Q: I may not be seeing it. But where can I buy a replacement bulb?**
A: Replacement bulbs can be purchased through online and brick and mortar retailers throughout the country. We currently do not have them available through the Amazon marketplace.

I use this for my baby ball python’s 50 gallon plastic tub terrarium. Works as intended. The hardest part was getting the bulb into the housing unit. I thought I had turned the bulb enough and thought it didn’t work at first. My advice is don’t be afraid to put some effort into turning the bulb once it’s in the socket. You might feel a slight click at first but then REALLY turn it and it should lock into place. It works. I also don’t like how easily the power cord can fall out of the housing unit if you move it but otherwise it’s fine. I got it on a 12/12 timer. No issues so far but from what I hear, you should get a tool to measure the uv strength and replace the bulb every 6-12 months to ensure it’s emitting the proper amount of uv.
