As mentioned in other reviews, the instructions are not detailed so you'll need to figure some things out through trial and error. A couple of things I didn't know or read in reviews are: 1. The countdown functions still beeps at the end of the time even with the beeps turned off. I'm happy with this because that's how I want it to work. When the beeps are turned off, an icon of a bell with a line through it is displayed. See photo. 2. The whistle is very basic with a pea. 3. The metal watch has a nice weight in your hands. 75g or 2.6oz. 4. There are 3 large buttons on top (lap/reset, recall, and start/stop) and one small button on the side (mode). The large buttons feel a bit loose and a bit "cheap". Seem to work fine though. 5. There is no power off function. It turns off on its own after 10 minutes of no activity. 6. The packaging is really (too) fancy. Box is lined with silky fabric, has a magnetic closure and covered in a paper sleeve. See photos. I'd take a simpler package for a lower price personally.
