Finally up and running! Don't think twice about running your PiOS on an NVME. If I can do it, you'll have no problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ NVME boot works. Fast operating system. *by C***C on March 24, 2025* It turns out all my issues were resolved by changing the window manager to X11 (raspi-config). Wayland window manager causes problems with some apps and under load, will make the system hang and become unresponsive. As of now, the RPi4 has not crashed since switching to X11. The Raspberry Pi 4 can now boot from NVME, without an SD card. The speed of the operating system is at least 2x faster. Boot time is nearly instant compared to SD card; SSH is ready in about 15 seconds. For the Raspberry Pi 4, I'm using the official 27w, 5 amp adapter, 3 amps is probably not enough to get stable performance; with a low amperage adapter I experienced crashing while accessories were plugged-in to USB.
