The Aloe Vera conditioner really helps to restore moisture in my kinky/curly African American hair. I have really dry hair and live in a very dry climate (NV), so any conditioner that hydrates my hair is a must.I like that it smells good without being overwhelming and that it calmly cleanses my hair. It also lathers up nicely, although not as much as traditional conditioners containing sulfates. A little bit (quarter size or more depending on hair length/texture) goes a long ways and it lasts for a long time (one 18 oz bottle lasts me about 2 months).I use it as a "co-wash" 1-2x a week (I wet my hair with water every time I shower to keep it hydrated in-between "co-washes"). I have t put a comb through my hair my entire life. Whenever I tried it would break in my hair. This stuff is THICK! So naturally I've spent a hefty fortune on hair products to tame my beautiful beast. Nothing has worked as marvelously as nature's gate. It makes my hair feel so soft and I actually put hated a comb for when I condition my hair ( every day). I'm terrified that since I cannot find it in stores I will lose it one day. So I stock up... When I need one, I order two.And by the way.... Since I condition every day, you could imagine how long conditioner lasts me. ( a week and a half maximum.) but with nature's gate I don't need to empty out the bottle on my head to be able to comb out all the knots. I finally understood the saying "put a dime size amount of product on your hands". I used to hate that saying, but nature's gate really means it!!! And my hair isn't short either. My hair stops at my hips.So all I have left to say is try it.
