It took a few days to get the humidity up to 45%. It was really dry in our condo.Very easy to add water. The two water tanks are great.The fan was loud for a few days while it raised the humidity from 20% to 40%. No damp spots from clouds of mist, no scary spots trying to grow in base or tanks (yes, I did clean the sonic ones as directed-didn’t prevent ickiness), and the easiest seasonal restart ever. The big differences are that the fan is a bit louder and the humidity takes longer to rise than with sonic humidifiers. Someday, they will have a quieter fan and I’ll upgrade. Filled it up on night 1 and everything was great. Seemed to do an adequate job maintaining humidity. I like the large reservoirs, the noise level was fine, and the auto shut off feature is good. We run white noise all night anyway, so I don't notice any issues with fan sound....Then night 2 happened. While letting it run in auto mode all day, my wife called me into the room around 6:30, yelling that there was water everywhere. There was. The entire thing was sitting in a pool of water, right on top of our very expensive solid wood dresser. Which I then spent the next 30 minutes over with a hair dryer trying to get the water stains out of the wood.Whatever you do, do not buy this.
