It describes the internal friction of a moving fluid. A fluid with large viscosity resists motion because its molecular makeup gives it a lot of internal friction. Gases that get introduced into heavily viscous fluids can become trapped in the fluid, not having the ability to flow upward to escape the fluid. This is one of the reasons that bubbles in epoxy resin sometimes require heat applied to it to thin its structure and increase flow, which makes it easier for the bubbles to move through the resin and escape. A fluid with low viscosity flows easily because its molecular makeup results in very little friction when it is in motion. **Q: how would it be for adding fiberglass to plastic for strength?** A: No clue. This brand did not do well for our project. I purchased the 1 gallon kit from Amberart and after all the prep and sanding of the slab, followed the mixing directions religiously.It poured out and spread well, but i could see that I had not gotten enough product to flow and coat this slab as I envisioned it.So I ordered more epoxy and, after waiting several days to allow the epoxy to cure enough to be sandible with fine paper, I mixed the second batch and poured it out.WOW! Did that table just sparkle under this very clear epoxy! It was beautiful.I realized that my outdoor picnic table was going to get beaten up and scratched, so I did not go through any final sanding and polishing processes to get the last few imperfections out of the surface. I must say I am very happy with the results and the product, which was very easy to use and apply. I used this Resin kit in multiple projects. You have to be very quick and careful to use this, it gets hot quickly and has lots of fumes, better to do it outside the house or your lungs are gonna hate you. It is clear, hard and shiny when it’s all done if you follow the correct measurement or it’ll get super sticky if you don’t. Dries and cure fast and good value for the money, because it last long depends on your projects. Easy to clean if you are quick.Enjoy some of the project my husband and I made, specifically the ocean drawer resin.
