I always place order for the particular ink cartridge I'll be refilling. If I'm sold ink that works for other cartridges, I don't know...I just know that it works with mine. **Q: works with hp122 carts?** A: I don't know for sure, but it should work. **Q: Whats the hand drill for?** A: Good question. All I can figure out is that you use it to break through the label to reveal the ink refill hole. Personally, I use the hypodermic needle to punch through the label. I saw one of their videos on YouTube on how to unclog print heads. Yes I tried the warm water and letting it sit ect. I’ve been self troubleshooting my tech for ages so I was looking for a solution I had not already heard repeated a million times over. After watching I thought why not as a last ditch effort. I found their Amazon and super niche item I otherwise would have never found. Ordered it and after two tries, completely cleared both color and black print heads and was able to fill them back up without making a complete mess of things.
