**Q: Are the bumps raised like normal braille. In the photo they appear to be drilled holes**
A: Yes, they are drilled. So in reality this board really is not very helpful for learning  or practicing braille. Hope this helps.

I bought this for a client at work who is blind. I was very disappointed to receive this and see how tiny it was and that the “Braille” part of the board was holes in the board and not raised dots...
