Designed for ponds, water gardens, and aquaculture, these cubes are easy to clean, include Hydro-Bugs beneficial bacteria for a healthy start, and outperform traditional lava rock filters while weighing a fraction of the weight. ## Description Green Vista's Matala Koi Kubes provide high surface coverage and years of effective filtration in ponds, water gardens or aquaculture systems. They are a great upgrade for any brand of waterfall or bio-filter tank, including Aquascape, Atlantic, Easy Pro and Savio and last 5 to 6 years plus! The cubes vary from 1 to 3 inches in size and vary in density. Save the time and effort of cutting filter mat to the size of your waterfall tank or bio-filter by using these cubes! Clean the bio cubes as needed by simply rinsing a bag of them with water from a garden hose. Each cubic foot of these biological cubes covers roughly 300 square feet of surface area, much more than lava rocks, bio balls or ribbon materials! The bio cubes allow your pond filter to maintain greater levels of beneficial bacteria, resulting in clearer water and improving your pond's ability to handle more and larger fish. Weighing about 2 pounds per cubic foot, the biological cubes are much lighter than lava rocks, which weigh about 50 pounds per cubic foot. The bio cubes are also much more effective in filtering than lava rocks. The included Hydro-Bugs Bacteria for bio filters will give your water feature a healthy jump start. The beneficial bacteria work with the biological cubes to filter and clean water. A mesh bag ($6.99 value) is included to hold the bio cubes, making them easy for you to store and carry. PLEASE NOTE: The colors of the cubes and bag may vary. Also, this product ships compressed to save on costs. Filter your water feature with Green Vista's Matala Koi Kubes.
