Also a lot safer than stripping with a knife. I don't think the hand crank would be a very good option but it is very easy to hook up a battery drill. I used a ty-wrap to control the trigger and turned it on and off by removing the battery. I'm very happy and definitely would recommend this time saving tool. This machine can strip a wide variety of wire and cable, so it does have a bit of a learning curve to get it setup just right but once it is this machine will easily pay for itself. I highly recommend using a cordless drill to operate it rather than just the crank handle it's so much faster.
