Put the sweet-smelling and tasty bait inside and outside (lure them inside) of the cage door. Peanut and sausage are all good choices, it’s better to keep the bait fresh. Old rats are smart and prudent, so for the first few days, keep the door open all the time until these little critters lose their guard and start to eat the bait in the cage freely, then it’s time to catch them. Notice: To avoid any injuries caused, please read the user manual carefully before trying to set up the trap. For the “Using Tips” of the trap, please read the user manual. Unfortunately, our home was visited by the live version of the Rats of NIMH. It was so smart that it would not fall for conventional traps and it seemed to eat the rat poison with no problem. It was chewing through pipes and wires and I did not think an end was in sight. I bought this trap. I had to set food outside the cage one day. And inside the cage the next. Finally on the third day I put the food all the way in the trap and it worked. Review: Easy to use - I have used these for smaller squirrels that were digging under my house and patio. While I don’t like to do things like that I also don’t like all of the foundation around my house torn up. They’re easy to work and it’s nice to have my home rid of the squirrels. ## Features - Humane Rat Trap: Our live mouse trap no poisons, chemicals, sprays, or glues. So we put a quarter on the trigger with peanut butter and then then door shut without harming him. **Q: The ad says it's "in stock". why no delivery for two months?** A: Mine came in a week. **Q: are triggers sensitive to small mice?** A: Yes ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good trap. *by K***S on September 9, 2026* This thing was a God send. We had these crazy chipmunks gnawing on the wall of our house to build a nest. And with sunflower seeds I immediately caught 2 chipmunks and accidentally caught one field mouse and one small bird. All were released and unharmed. Remember to check the trap often! ## Frequently Bought Together - JGRZF Quality Rat Trap, Humane Live Animal Mouse Cage Traps, Catch and Release Mice, Rats,Chipmunk, Pests, Rodents and Similar Sized Pests for Indoor and Outdoor, 10.6 X 5.63 X 4.33 Inches, One-Door - EcoClear Products 620100-6D RatX All-Natural All Species Rat Mouse, 8 oz.
