Simple installation. Review: Does Nothing - I bought this to extend the range of my emergency alert radio and it does nothing. I could not get the local weather station and emergency alerts with just the cheap antenna that came with the radio. I thought if I got something like this it would pull it in for me. I placed it in the window so there is no interference and still nothing. I can't say it's the fault of the antenna, but my old radio (which died on me) got the alerts and everything else. Review: Five Stars - Works well my friend uses it and says it really performs ## Features - For Reecom Weather Alert Radios, receives 7 NOAA Weather Band Channels, VHF Frequency: 162.400 - 162.550 MHz - Simple Installation, Mountable on Single, Double or Triple Pane Window - 16 ft Antenna Cable With RCA Jack, Working for All Reecom NOAA Weather Alert Radios - Easy Use, Directly Plug Into Reecom Weather Alert Radios - Improves Reception Range ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B003JC1FB4 | | Antenna | Radio | | AntennaDescription | Radio | | Best Sellers Rank | #788 in Radio Antennas | | Brand | Reecom | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 2.9 out of 5 stars 42 Reviews | | Impedance | 50 Ohms | | Item Weight | 2 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Reecom Electronics, Inc | | Maximum Range | 16 Feet | | Mfr Part Number | RA-1601 | | Model Number | RA-1601 | | Number of Channels | 7 | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 852051000016 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Antenna:** Radio - **Brand:** Reecom - **Color:** Black - **Impedance:** 50 Ohms - **Manufacturer:** Reecom Electronics, Inc - **Maximum Range:** 16 Feet - **Number of Channels:** 7 - **Number of Items:** 1 - **UPC:** 852051000016 ## Images ![Unique Reecom RA-1601 Weather Alert Radio External Antenna for Single, Double or Triple Pane Window Mounting - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31sPcUlgtZL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Does Nothing *by R***Y on January 30, 2022* I bought this to extend the range of my emergency alert radio and it does nothing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by V***1 on July 3, 2015* Works well my friend uses it and says it really performs ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but could be better *by S***R on March 20, 2012* I have this product before and it has done it job. I use it on midland brand weather radios in a tough terrain environment. Unless the antenna is positioned perfectly in tough terrain will it pick up the signal. In a high apartment it works well. But in little to no signal environment the antenna increases the gain some what. Conclusion: if you are in an area where the signal is noisy or hard to hear this antenna will improve that signal. If you live in an area with poor to no signal, this product is not for you. Buy a large antenna to mount outside, and run the cable inside for your weather radio. ## Frequently Bought Together - Unique Reecom RA-1601 Weather Alert Radio External Antenna for Single, Double or Triple Pane Window Mounting - Sangean CL-100 NOAA, S.A.M.E and Public Alert Certified Weather Alert Table-Top Radio with AM/FM-RBDS, and EEPROM Back Up for Preset Stations --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/4758461-unique-reecom-ra-1601-weather-alert-radio-external-antenna-single](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/4758461-unique-reecom-ra-1601-weather-alert-radio-external-antenna-single) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
