If both cards are inserted and the adapter plugged in, it only reads the full-size card. When switching cards, the adapter needs to be removed and reinserted to read the new card. I regret buying this adapter. If I had to do it again, I would have bought the one that is a cable. **Q: the unit is not being recognized by win 11. Does anybody know a solution to this issue?** A: I don’t think you are having an OS issue. My guess is that it is a system bus and/or device driver issue. Try plugging your SD or MicroSD card directly into the card reader before you plug it into the computer. My card reader is not recognized on either my Surface Pro or MacBook Pro if it is plugged into the computer without the card in the card reader before it is plugged into the computer. **Q: Is there a write protection switch for the Micro SDHC?
