Lockable lid opens using a simple two prong 'key.' Two keys were supplied with this order of 10 boxes. Tip: Sellotape the key to the lid of the bait box. I was forever losing keys to bait boxes, forcing me to buy new every time I need to bait up. If you do lose the keys to these you should still be able to open the lid with two prongs of a fork as these aren't the latch type. Big Plus. Inside the box are two compartments for bait, one with a central plastic spike to anchor the bait, whether it's a block, or a baggie. These compartments will also happily take loose bait.
