Once I cut it open and removed the other box, I couldn't believe what I got: zipper is working just fine, the leather (imitation) is great, and what I found in the book itself knocked me down, as a student interested in the thorough studies of the matter: additional explanations, references, charts - everything you cannot find in an ordinary Bible (especially if you live in eastern Europe, in ex-Yugoslavia, to be exact). All in all, I highly recommend buying this piece; quality is great, and it will last (even if you're not as careful as you are trying to be or you want to be) - 5/5 stars! I heard that the notes had been updated in the 1960's so I hunted up other versions of the Scofield and decided on the Study Bible III, mostly as a gamble.I was pleasantly surprised with the product. Always quality with Oxford even with their non-leather zipper cover. I immediately went to the notes to compare with my Old Scofield and found them fabulous and clear to understand. The format has nice blocks where specific subjects are covered extensively. And the notes and info blocks teach dispensational theology well for me, but I found that you don't have to be a dispensationalist to find value in this bible. It's a wealth. I do not find anything wrong to say about this product. I am thoroughly happy and satisfied.
