Thanks** A: Yes, any modification from standard needs to be declared, the insurance company will decide whether or not it it needs to be noted and if any changes to your premium. As long as you haven't put an induction kit on, chipped it and put a exhaust on it, they shouldn't care, I have declared it and they were not bothered, they asked me if I'd fitted it to improve performance, I said I fitted it because they don't need replacing, which is my genuine reason for fitting one as any performance increase is negligible at best. Should you need to claim and although in this case it is very unlikely the accident could be attributed to the undeclared modifications, the insurance company could just wash their hands, afterwards you would really struggle to get good insurance, so it's definitely not worth the risk. I'd check with them first and take it from there.
