I want to use one as a back mount for an outside light.** A: I'd be a bit wary of using a centre punch as mentioned below - perspex can easily crack if hit hard. To stop the drill wandering, put a piece of masking tape where you want to drill and mark the spot with a pen. Use a metal drill at a high speed and don't try and force it through the material. If the plastic starts melting your drill is probably blunt. **Q: Do these sheets come with rounded edges as in the picture?** A: Hi Thank you for your enquiry. This is for square corners. We can however cut this material to any shape, size you require as well as polish, pre-drill holes and round the corners if required. Please contact us with your requirements so we can quote and assist. Many thanks Kind Regards Sign Materials Direct **Q: Is this easy to cut ? X** A: It's ok with model knife made for that purpose. I tried cutting with normal knife and it worked most of the times (I broke one piece as it was not cut deep enough). **Q: Can you see through this clearly? Or is it opaque?** A: I would say they are clear rather than opaque. But they are very dark. You have to hold them up to the light to see through them. I'll do a review of the product and attach a photo. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Product *by V***N on 22 January 2026* Excellent Product ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ recommended *by F***T on 31 May 2026* All perfect A++ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, solid acrylic (no protective film) *by M***E on 4 June 2021* Perfect for what I needed, but no protective film, so be careful when cutting/prepping not to scratch the surface ## Frequently Bought Together - 3mm CrestGlass Black Gloss Acrylic Plastic Sheet 16 Sizes to Choose (297mm x 210mm / A4) - 3mm White Gloss Acrylic Sheet 16 Sizes to Choose (297mm x 210mm / A4) - Sign Materials Direct 3mm Ruby Red Transparent Gloss Cast Acrylic Sheet 16 Sizes to Choose (297mm x 210mm / A4) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/47894596-3mm-crestglass-black-gloss-acrylic-plastic-sheet-16-sizes-to](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/47894596-3mm-crestglass-black-gloss-acrylic-plastic-sheet-16-sizes-to) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
