Review: Dashcam is great, customer service is STELLAR!! - I came across this camera on a forum and was immediately intrigued by the seamless, almost factory, look. I had been using another camera since purchasing my RAM, but had issues with it constantly falling off the window in the Arizona heat. After some research, I decided to pull the trigger and ordered the 4K front only camera. The fit and finish of the FitcamX is as good or better than OEM and install was simple with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I even attempted to use a 256GB memory card and it seems to work perfectly (even though they say it can handle a max of 128GB). The footage is nice and clear and licenses plates are easily read when playing back the footage. The only thing I would like to see changed is the placement of the status LED's. As of now the LED's are on the bottom of the cam and are very difficult to see. If they were to be moved the the side or front of the housing, they could easily be seen without having to bend down to look up at the LED's. Shortly after install I had to have my windshield replaced and quickly ran into problems, though not related to the camera it turns out. After the new windshiled was installed, I noticed that I was no longer able to power on the camera. I had the replacement company look at it and was told there were a couple of bolts missing for the sensors on the windshield and that was causing the issues. After I questioned them on how the bolts were causing electrical issues, they sent the calibration guy out to look @ the truck. After about an hour he said that everything was working and he was able to calibrate my systems. I drove the truck home and thought nothing of it as everything seemed to be working. Unfortunately that was not the case. The FitcamX was still not getting power, so I began to investigate and immediately found the problem. When the windshield was replaced, they has ripped some wires out of the harness that comes with the cam. Instead of telling me about it, they simply loosley inserted the wires back in place and wrapped a piece of packing tape around the connector. I immediately contacted Fitcam and asked if I could purchase a new harness to get things working again. After giving a little information about my purchase, they told me they would send out a new harness immediately. WOW! This was not a manufacturing issue and was caused by someone else, yet they stepped up to the plate and provided the part @ no cost. That is what I call STELLAR customer service. Overall, I am very happy with the FitcamX and have only 1 regret, that I didn't get a dual cam system.

No problems with the digital rear view mirror afterwards. It took me about 20 minutes to get it installed. It is a bit cumbersome to connect to the camera with the app. You have to turn off CarPlay so you can connect to the camera via WiFi. If you leave CarPlay on the truck will keep kicking you off WiFi so it can reconnect to your phone. Once connected to the camera everything in the app is user friendly.

**Q: Do I need to connect the dash cam everytime? Can I use CarPlay/Bluetooth as usual?**
A: You don't need to keep camera connected as it will auto-record after car starts. You only need to connect the camera in the need of viewing or downloading video. No affect the normal use of CarPlay or Bluetooth

**Q: Where is the video stored? Can I view video anytime i want?**
A: The video is auto-saved in SD card, not phone. 1. Only if you've downloaded footage to your phone in advance, you can watch it even off the car or remotely. 2. You can also watch it on computer by intserting sD card

**Q: With front 4k camera installed, can I add a rear cam separately?**
A: NO, because the PCB boards are different between single front and dual version.

**Q: Is the dash cam featured with Parking Sensor? And is it 24h recording?**
A: Not all FlTCAMX dash cams has parking sensor, you need extra harness to upgrade with this function. And there are 24h and non-24h recording option, please confirm with FlTCAMX for more details.

**Q: Why dash cam gets hot?**
A: It's normal situation but no worry. 1. The surrounding space of camera is small, and the original parts nearby will cause high temperature. 2.The camera is under windshield which is in direct sunlight by day.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dashcam is great, customer service is STELLAR!!

I came across this camera on a forum and was immediately intrigued by the seamless, almost factory, look. I had been using another camera since purchasing my RAM, but had issues with it constantly falling off the window in the Arizona heat. After some research, I decided to pull the trigger and ordered the 4K front only camera. The fit and finish of the FitcamX is as good or better than OEM and install was simple with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I even attempted to use a 256GB memory card and it seems to work perfectly (even though they say it can handle a max of 128GB). The footage is nice and clear and licenses plates are easily read when playing back the footage. The only thing I would like to see changed is the placement of the status LED's. As of now the LED's are on the bottom of the cam and are very difficult to see. If they were to be moved the the side or front of the housing, they could easily be seen without having to bend down to look up at the LED's. Shortly after install I had to have my windshield replaced and quickly ran into problems, though not related to the camera it turns out. After the new windshiled was installed, I noticed that I was no longer able to power on the camera. I had the replacement company look at it and was told there were a couple of bolts missing for the sensors on the windshield and that was causing the issues.
