Review: Super groovy quick delivery from company - Super groovy quick delivery from company. Excitingly, it arrived earlier than expected. Super thin and lightweight. Looks amazing. Very snazzy (or as we might say in Scottish "sleekit wee beastie"). Operates really fast: Opens & available for use in literally seconds! Brilliant - it replaced a bit of a dinosaur (3 times the size & 15 yrs old, but served me well). So although it doesn't have a slide out cd/dvd slot (where would it go - i have notebooks thicker), have no need for such, and since technology races forward at a pace even faster than I am aging . ! I have to say I was concerned before ordering because it was so much smaller than my old 17" and that the keys would be unusable because of the smaller size - but after eliminating the extra number pad at the side (which was always nugatory anyway), the keys are full sized. I can't speak to the set up due to the fact that I have a super-duper-incredable tech-wiz 18 year old son who spent nearly an hour doing it all for me! Connecting me to this and that ) BT inter-web-net-fi-wi (yes - lol), organising my desktop and just knew EVERYTHING to do. ( I did transfer the necessary docs, pics & music ect., from my old laptop to this one myself). . . Sigh. So, baring in mind - it comes with no instructions at all, please have a teenager on hand - just in case! My only real complaint / problem with this laptop (and my son agrees ) - is the keyboard is annoying. If you remember typing on a manual typewriter - you will remember that some keys need to be thrashed down really hard. and i find myself taking much longer to type anything. It's taken some time to type this as I have to keep going back to re-type/correct missing letters or too many letters (as so many desertcart users/reviewers DON'T bother to do)! Maybe it's just us. I touch-type at 85 wpm but on this - it's more like 40. Also, sometimes i'm typing something and it just disappears several lines away without warning and I'm typing in a different paragraph. . . grrrrrr. But again, maybe that's just me doing something wrong. That said - I really do love it! Especially at such a good price of around £200. My son deliberated with one of his on-line-sykpe friend over several products on my behalf and I think they made a great choice!! I would actually prefer to give it a 4+half.
Review: OK(ish) cheap laptop ***UPDATE*** No - it's awful - Low level equipment with little pazazz, you get what you pay for with this laptop. It's not going to bowl you over. However, it's not terrible either. There's good and bad points. The good include: Light weight - It's as light as a feather. You can take it anywhere. Good screen - Very clear and even though it's not a matt finish, the light doesn't reflect too much. But mine has a dead pixel, centre of screen. Easy to set up - You can get going in a few minutes. Noise levels - It's extremely quiet. Compared to my old HP 350 laptop, it's positively silent. The bad outweigh the good though: The keyboard - Terrible. Far too often the keys don't even register a hit. You won't be typing your great novel on this Only one USB 3.0 port - On the left side. The port on the right is 2.0. It also won't allow me to safely eject external hdd's. Very odd. Windows 10 - I'm just not a fan. My main PC still carries good old Windows 7 and it won't be getting changed. Audio - It's wretched. So tinny it borders on unlistenable. This is obviously due to the very small size of the cheap speakers. But...ugh....no. Battery life - Not great, but in line with other cheap laptops. Recharge time - Woeful. I let the battery drain to empty and started recharging about two hours ago. It's telling me I have another 5h 38m left. Wifi - Poor speed for some reason. YouTube videos can struggle even though we have a 200mb fibre optic connection in the house. Hard Drive - A paltry 64gb. Extra space can be had with an SD card. It's an SSD drive though. So it's relatively fast. Temps - Tends to run quite hot, like a macbook. Beware of your lap. The Fusion5 x5-Z8350 may be ok if you want to get the kid a first laoptop or something. Or, if you want it for general browsing. But watching movies/TV on it is stymied by the terrible audio, in spite of the generally good picture. Music is just annoying. The keyboard's lack of register will have you constantly checking the screen and editing what you've written, which becomes a chore with great speed. This might be ok if you're rattling off a Facebook message or giving the world your genius in 140 characters over Twitter. But, if you are preparing that business report for work, I'd look elsewhere. You really have to make sure you've hit the keys firmly. It reminded me of the old Spectrum 48K's rubber keys at times. The truly terrible recharge time is a real killer though. Having to wait 6+ hours for a full recharge is unacceptable. For me, it won't be too much bother, as I'll have it plugged in 99% of the time. But, for others who like their laptops portable, it'll be an issue. Also, the length of the charger's cable is laughable. For me, it'll do for now. But, I will be looking for a better machine very soon. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ****UPDATE**** So, after 3 months of use, I've had enough. This is a, frankly, terrible device that will be the source of frustration for any resonable person. So, this review has gone from a 3 star review (which was pretty generous in the first place) to a 1 star review. I mentioned the awful keyboard in my review from May, but it really is a new level in bad design. They keys are so shallow, that writing anything is utterly pointless. One has to be constantly checking and rechecking their content and fixing the mistakes caused by the lack of register on the keyboard. It's incredibly bad. This is particularly annoying if you are trying to log into anywhere online with a password that you cannot see.onscreen. Everything has to be typed so slowly, you'll feel like a technophobe OAP. It's without a doubt, the worst keyboard I have ever touched. The audio is simply unbearable. I cannot stress enough just how unlistenable it really is. Everything is so shrill. There is absolutely no bottom end to any sound and it is offputting to an extremely large degree. It's just deeply unpleasant to watch any media on this laptop, from a Youtube monologue to a Blu-ray rip of your favorite action film. Finally, the wi-fi is probably the worst I've experienced on any device I've owned. It is, without doubt, the weakest reciever I have on anything in the house. Simple web pages such as a a text based forum can take an inordinate time to load, or just hang altogether and loading in video media is always hit and miss. Youtube continually has to reduce its resolution, because even at 480p it can be too much for this laptop to handle. I've compared it to my wife's laptop and our phones and the speed is the worst out of any of them. Buying this piece of equipment has proven to be one of the worst false economies I have ever tried and I regret it completely. I've now ordered a new, proper, laptop from HP that will be here in a couple of days and I can bin this one with great speed. In my original review I said "The Fusion5 x5-Z8350 may be ok if you want to get the kid a first laoptop or something. Or, if you want it for general browsing". But, no, it's not even good enough for either. I wouldn't put a child through the frustration of this thing and it's useless for even the most basic of computer activities like browsing.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This wonderful little lap top was delivered quickly
*by G***V on 23 August 2017*

This wonderful little lap top was delivered quickly, so good customer service. Found the lap top to be slim and lightweight, good for carrying around, easy to use having windows 10 already installed and everything else you would expect at a very competitive price. Basically it does what it says on the tin. The battery life is good depending on use off course, although I found the charging cord rather short, having to place the unit next to the power point for charging. I noticed a few small blisters under the screen surface. While these are not a serious issue and do not effect daily tasks they do ruin what is a good clear screen. I had one technical issue which I had to refer to F5CS Ltd, more the fault of myself than the product. The seller resolved the query quickly and efficiently, very impressive. Overall, a good little laptop for everyday use, a outstanding product, with customer service to match, and excellent technical support. Would recommend both laptop and seller to any and everybody.
