Review: Better than the recommended strops from the machine manufacturer. - The strops work great on my machine, a bit tight at first but they stretched a bit (not too much) and have become easy to take on and off. My main issue with the original strops are they come apart to easily and spin long strings up in your face and ultimately dull the knife, leather is easily superior.
Review: Sharpest Machete I could achieve - I also have a paddle strop and use DBK Diamond compound. It works great and between my Ken Onion Professional WorkSharp: it got my Condor Amalgem razor sharp. Well, I took a shot in the dark with this purchase thinking it seemed genius in concept. Well, I will not say it has my large blade as hair-whittling edged like my knives with the DBK Compound/Leather Strop paddle, because it does not feel near as sharp (and could be Geometry). However, it is quite a bit sharper than when I used the paddle on my Machete. It cuts through a sheet of telephone paper even quieter/cleaner. Quick Specs: 12" Blade @ 1.5Lbs. 1075 Carbon Steel @ 0.18" (4.5 mm). I will also take the advice of another reviewer and throw some Grumpies Blade butter on the back end of the belts and let's them absorb before next use. Thanks for the awesome product and I certainly recommend for those wanting extra big blades near-as-sharp to your sharpest knife.

The strops work great on my machine, a bit tight at first but they stretched a bit (not too much) and have become easy to take on and off.
