Review: Really good masonry bits. - I'm not a massive DIYer, but I do have to do some around the house from time to time. Despite me not giving them much abuse, I have had masonry bits fail on me in the past, so I decided to spend a little more (Though I wouldn't call these expensive), and DeWalt is known to be a good brand, and went for this set. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase. They've had a bit of use, and appear to cut as good now as they did when I first used them, and they still look as good as new (When I remember to clean them). No problems at all.

**Q: Can the drill work on concrete garden posts?**
A: Yes it should work. However, a couple of points to bear in mind. These garden posts sometimes are steel-reinforced. If you drill into a post and hit metal 1) you are going to feel it but 2) your drill bit is likely to get super hot and not make any impact in the metal. So, be aware. Also, sometimes, depending on the particular post's constitution, you'll find stones within the concrete too. They'll have a similar effect on your drill bit - so go careful and pull out the drill bit a few times during the drilling to see how it is goes. You'll know if things are going wrong because the bit will most likely come out red hot and looking pretty blunt.

**Q: Are these bits compatible with a Bosch cordless hammer drill?**
A: Should fit most standard uk drills

A: I had nothing but issues with these on driveway blocks and gave up in the end but bricks are softer so maybe

A: Drill bits are capable of drilling holes in brick but not long enough to drill all the way through a 4 inch brick

Despite me not giving them much abuse, I have had masonry bits fail on me in the past, so I decided to spend a little more (Though I wouldn't call these expensive), and DeWalt is known to be a good brand, and went for this set. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase. They've had a bit of use, and appear to cut as good now as they did when I first used them, and they still look as good as new (When I remember to clean them). No problems at all.
