First job was using the scraper to lift perished carpet tape in a large room. This was taking forever by hand but an hour with this multi tool and the job was complete. Worth the price just for this! Then moved on to lifting floorboards, adjusting doors and frames, sanding and removing mouldy sealant from window frames. When I opened the box and went through all the bits, one thing that stood out and reassured me this was quality is its spare set of motor brushes. If you ignore this, you'll most likely overheat the blade which will make the glue bond between diamonds and the blade fail, resulting in a diamond-free spot and partially damaged blade. Also, make sure you get a THIN blade, ideally 1mm. Thicker blades are likely to damage the tiles unless you are very, very careful. Don't ask me how I know all of this. Let's just say, I paid my dues. :-) **Q: Can you purchase replacement tool? ie blades** A: Yes ebay does lots of different multipacks ranging from about £13 upwards depending what accessories you need. It has a universal fitting so can take majority. I brought a grout remover ( semicircle cemented carbide blade) and a thinner sander head with lots of new sander sheets to retire & redecorate my bathroom for £14. I’m forever loosing bits so having a designed box to put them back in is a big plus for me. The supplied attachments are pretty basic – they’ll do the job, but may not be the best out there. It’s easy to pick up a replacement from most places and the tool has a universal fitting on it so it’s easy to swap and change. I’ve used to sand down spindles (in place) on a staircase and also to cut a gap in a laminate floor for a door plate – both tricky jobs but this tool had no issues with them. You need to ensure that the attachments are screwed in tight by using the supplied Allen key as it will come loose while in use which is not a good thing. It’s suitable for most DIY tasks on an infrequent basis, it’s not top of the range, but it’s good value for the price – although the postage cost is excessive (just a personal bugbear as I prefer to see an all in one price!) and overall I’m happy with this tool.
