**Q: I want to transfer footage from an old camcorder that uses the tapes from the late 90s. I can watch the footage on the tv with RCA cables, will this work?**
A: I've never tried that but if you get a signal on the RCA cables it should work OK.

**Q: I have a canon mv500i camcorder. i have tried a couple of alternative video capture devices without success. will this support camcorder?**
A: I have a range of Canon and Sony videotape cameras that I provide conversion services with. As long as you have the correct cables this should capture anything.

**Q: Can I insert chapter breaks to enable scene skipping?**
A: You can´t do that in the El Gato software. In El Gato you only can cut a section in the beginning or in the end of the converted movie before you save it in your HD.  In order for you to insert chapters, you must have an additional editing software such as Apple iMovie or Adobe Premier. Hope this helps.

**Q: Can it record your iPad screen?**
A: Hi, yes it´s possible. You must have a Composite AV cable for your Apple iPad conect to the Elgato video capture.
