**Q: can this hold a nikon l340 and a sony hdr cx240?**
A: I'm not sure what size they are but it held nikon  dl3100 just fine.  It's basic but everything tightened up nicely.  The husband sends to think we need a stronger one but I'm ok with this one.  Hope this helps
