Glad I did
After fumbling around with the original carburetor on my tiller (without much success), I decided to give this a shot. Glad I did! After installation, it started right up and ran perfectly. I also came with replacement gaskets and extra parts that I did not need. I still gave 5 stars even though the fuel inlet on this model is straight and smaller diameter than what comes stock on my Craftsman tiller. The stock carburetor has a 90 degree fuel inlet nipple and has a larger diameter. I could not find an exact replacement with the 90 degree fuel inlet with the same part number. As a result, I had to make a special trip to retrieve a reduction nipple to make it work but knew I would when I made the purchased. Other than that, I'm very happy.

Replacement for OEM carb on Craftsman 208 CC Front Tine Tiller
Replacement carburetor for a 2015 208CC Craftsman Front Tine Tiller. The OEM carb had failed over the winter, for unknown reasons. This review is aimed toward it's fit/function as advertised for the 208 CC Craftsman. Overview: Besides some modest fitment issues and some breakage during shipping, the carb itself worked perfectly and the machine ran great.Delivery: The item took a couple weeks to arrive directly from China. The black plastic back-plate/overflow [mounts between carb/engine] was snapped in half, damaged during shipping apparently, which is partly the reason for 3/5 stars. I was able to reuse the OEM plate piece which was exactly the same. The carburetor itself appears to be identical to the OEM carb and the fit to the mounting screws, throttle cable, spring, and openings was exact. 5/5 stars. The kit included 3 different thin paper gaskets for various fitments. Two of the three were required in my case, and lined up correctly, although I elected to use the OEM gaskets which were sturdier, thicker, and still in good condition. 4/5 stars.Fuel line. Specifically to the 208 CC Craftsman I have, the included fuel line was narrower gauge and the inlet stud on the new carb is aligned straight out, rather than a 90-degree bend on the OEM. The narrow gauge fuel line isn't directly compatible with the Craftsman fuel tank's larger outlet however I was able to force the line over the outlet pipe with some elbow grease, then I carefully tucked in the rest of the line and although it now stuck straight out from the carb, the jutting fuel line just barely cleared the fascia without any kinking. 3/5 stars.Choke lever. Wasn't compatible with the existing fascia plate slide slots on my 208 CC Craftsman. However I was able to reuse the OEM lever, which fit perfectly on the new carb & lined up correctly with slots. 4/5 stars.Function. Added a half tank of fuel. The 208 CC Craftsman started on the first pull and ran great, no further adjustments necessary. What matters to me in the end is that it works. I'll keep my eye on the fuel line, but I don't see an easy fix outside of installing a new outlet either the carb or fuel tank. Not worth the effort IMO.
