You're seeing it from the back. These items are made in Vietnam. Not sure that anything Bosch is made in Germany these days. That said this is a really nice piece of kit. We’re refitting the bathroom and its been excellent. The way the bits are secure but easy to get in/out. There are 2 bit holders, one with a strong magnet and a quick change one which I just use that all the time. Been driving 100mm screws with ease and haven’t damaged the bits even when the driver jumped out.
