It is fairly thin, (though no more fragile than the paper in a bought pattern), but if it's a pattern I intend to use often, I generally transfer it to brown paper. I would recommend this product. **Q: Can you trace patterns with this paper?** A: Yes. It works well but you still may need to adapt a pattern to fit you making various versions of the pattern. Nina **Q: Can you sew this like Swedish tracing paper to make a toile?** A: No, it's more of a thicker tracing paper than the normal tissue paper supplied in patterns. I use it when I have altered a bought pattern but I wouldn't sew with it.
