A: I have not done this particular pattern. However I was taught cross stitch when I was about 8years old, and this pattern is no more complicated than those I was managing at that age. If you can tutor her, or find online tutorials she should be able to manage if she is crafty. This cross stitch kit is perfect for beginners as it has simple instructions. My first cross stitch kit had no instructions at all, and I wish that this had been my first project. The pattern is attractive and the chart is self explanatory. It is bigger than I expected and the frame is solid. I like the fact that it came with a thread organiser too. The only thing was the delivery took slightly long (unless you pay for it and order via amazon delivery) but I can't complain because the delivery was free. Overall a great product for under £5
