Our TT needed two applications and I used a soft bristle nail brush to agitate before washing off. Result was very good. Would then when dry use a waterproof spray. But, that is only my personal choice. **Q: Will this product be safe on a cream top?** A: It is a clear product which works really well on my black top and I am almost sure it would be good for your car too. Try it on a small area before you do the whole roof. **Q: Will this product be safe on a red top** A: Yes - rooftops are already made to withstand chemicals and environmental conditions. Just make sure You don't rub too hard, since hard abrasion is a killer for any type of surface. **Q: Can you use it to wash the soft top roof without say covering all the paintwork etc ? I bought different make and says you have to cover the bodywork** A: Hi You need to wash your roof first and use the spray (meguires) use a soft brush to clean it let it dry then use Maguires waterproof protector then wash your car as normal.
