Product Description Caldwell Matrix Shooting RestCaldwell's Matrix Shooting Rest is the one rest that does it all. It combines great new features and rock solid stability in an affordable rest. Central to the design is the innovative, ultra rigid U-channel frame, quickly adjusting in length for the perfect fit with any gun while remaining perfectly stable. The two piece sliding frame incorporates an open central channel with plenty of clearance for hi-capacity detachable magazines (AR style guns) as well as lever action guns. A convenient storage area incorporated into the front of the base features a removable lid that adds additional clearance when detached but also doubles as a rubberized rear support surface for firing handguns when left in place.Another key feature is the all new innovative front elevation system. A spring loaded tension mechanism and height adjustment knob allow for fast, one handed elevation adjustments, keeping the front cradle wobble free throughout the entire vertical range. Overmolded front and rear supports protect the guns finish but are firm enough to prevent any give or play. **Q: Can the caldwell matrix shooting rest be used to zero a gamo phox?**
A: The distance between the front of the front support and the back of the rear one can be varied between 54cm and 62cm. The front pad is 60mm and the rear 65mm. You should measure the stock to see if the rifle will sit in that range of distances. The height difference between the front and rear pad can be varied from zero to 75mm.

 You will need to remove the bipod fron your Phox if you have it but you can probably leave the stud on. I have used this to zero both of my 22LR rifles. 

Please be aware that this rest is light, doesn't have a lot of grip on the floor and tends to move around with 22LR levels of recoil. This won't be as bad with an air rifle but I recommend you shoulder the weapon firmly while using the rest.

Good build quality, but not all my guns like to sit in this, no matter how it is adjusted - some guns will sit in it nicely, but some don't!!
