Well it's actually not terrible. Maybe a degree out? I have a decent woodworking square for proper accuracy. I had need of a replacement decent (ie true) square to set up my new Evolution sliding mitre saw. After reading some blogs, stating that even quality (set) squares can be less than perfect, I thought I would try my luck with this one.Positives are that it is as close to true square as you could wish for. The markings are all recessed (not just painted) and initial testing suggests these too are accurate.I realize that these fast squares have specific purpose for some trades and from 'how to use guides' this device is missing the inner triangle incremental points.However the most significant negative for any user is that the whole this appears cast, including the markings, rather than etched. The result is that the edges are somewhat undulating. In other words when drawing a line along the edge, there is some line wobble.
